Dale Berry was a social studies teacher and revered basketball coach at Hamilton High School—so revered that the school gymnasium is named in his honor. After retiring, he served in both houses of the Montana legislature. This memorial scholarship is awarded to athletes who exemplify what he hoped to teach: scholarship, willingness, participation, hard work, and sportsmanship.
