The Robert Harley Howe Trust has made this scholarship available to teachers for furthering their education and for classroom materials not funded by the school district. After leaving Hamilton, Mr. Howe attended Duke University and went on to become the research librarian at the Library of Congress. In passing, he remembered his hometown and provided not only for this scholarship but also for the Bitterroot Public Library and the Daly Mansion.
